My jewelry collection has been handcrafted from a combination of fine and sterling
silvers, fiber, artist grade polmer/poly, semi-precious beading and fine ribbons.
While many pieces may be considered mixed-media, others are created using only
silver to highlight both form, as well as sentiment. All fine silver pieces are created
using Precious Metal Clay, or PMC. PMC is a soft, malleable material comprised of
microscopic particles of silver and moist binder that harden to .999% fine silver
when fired in a kiln. The finished nature of this material, and my personal style, is
more textured and raw. Every PMC piece has been hand stamped, carved, molded,
oxidized and polished. In addition, all pieces utilize sterling silver components such
as ear wires, clasps, etc. Plated components are never used. Besides sterling silver,
many pieces are also finished with elegant silks, suedes and fine ribbons that are both
unique in design and comfortable to wear. All fine silver pieces are packaged in an
anti-tarnish resealable bag and priced based on current market price and weight.
**Due to the rising price of silver, most pieces will be
made to order, so please expect 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Most pieces are open editions, meaning they will be created continuously with only
slight artistic variation in the finished product. However, a few pieces are
one-of-a-kind originals, made only once through the artist's creative vision or by
commission. All pieces, of course, convey the idea that animals bring peace and
inspiration to our lives.
